Loan Admin Assistant
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Administration Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position requires bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, making it ideal for individuals looking to start a career in loan administration and financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Loan Evaluation and Approval: Assist in evaluating and authorizing the approval of business, real estate, or credit loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Assessment: Specialize in evaluating the financial status of loan applicants, analyzing financial documents, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Record Maintenance: Update financial and collateral records, ensuring all information is accurate and current. Review loan files regularly to maintain thorough documentation.
- Loan Processing: Manage the full cycle of loan requests, from application to closing. This includes collecting and organizing all necessary financial documents for underwriting.
- Credit Underwriting: Promote safe and sound credit underwriting and prudent lending practices. Conduct preliminary evaluations and underwriting of loan applications.
- Customer Interaction: Receive commercial and home loan applications, performing interviews with customers to gather required information and address any inquiries.
- Documentation: Perform closing activities, such as obtaining necessary documents from customers, verifying legal documents, and ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Special Projects: Participate in other duties or special projects as deemed necessary by the team, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel, for data management and report preparation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct detailed assessments of financial documents and loan applications.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in loan administration or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, credit underwriting, and prudent lending practices.
